Audience: Newly hired employees will take this training before beginning work.  They are entry-level with prior knowledge in global conflict and international studies. Newly hired employees may or may not have experience in working with a team in highly stressful and sensitive situations.

Design Process: My process begins with a Needs Analysis to determine if training is needed to solve the problem. In this ficticious scenario, I played the SME and determined the learning objectives and assessment strategies and other components of the design document. Real life scenario-based learning is implemented to create memorable and relatable experiences for the learner. By using interesting interactions and multimedia resources with clean design keeps users engaged in the learning experiences. The ADDIE model and SAM are the foundations of my process providing a structured approach to problem-solving and revision. Implementing Kirkpatrick's learning and behavior levels of evaluation measures the effectiveness of the course. These approaches allow me to create well-planned, adaptable designs that effectively meet the needs of the learners.

Business Problem: Refuge Safe is a non-profit organization dedicated to safe-guarding the rights of refugees and helping them to build a positive, successful life in a new place. This is a highly emotional, sensitive and stressful working environment. As a result, staff are overwhelmed, stressed and not effectively assisting refugee clients.

Solution: This training will help our employees build resilience and develop a strong foundation so that they will be able to serve our clients to their fullest potential.

Highlights: This course includes chunking, scenarios, drag and drop, tabs, accordion and click to reveal interactions, narration, knowledge checks and a final quiz.

Audience: The audience is newly hired staff at Turkey Tail Farms. More specifically, staff with basic knowledge of mushrooms and foraging. The learners will have basic knowledge of mushrooms, foraging and expert knowledge of safety precautions during expeditions and around mushrooms.

Design Process: For this course, my process began with creating a fictitious company with a problem scenario. A Needs Analysis was taken to determine what type of training is needed to solve the problem. By creating a design document, I have a detailed plan that outlines learning objectives, content and assessment strategies. Real life scenario-based learning is implemented to create memorable and relatable experiences for the learner. Using interesting and fun interactions with clean design creates engaging learning experiences.

Business Problem: As more people are becoming interested in learning about mushrooms and foraging for mushrooms, Turkey Tail Farms needs to provide more excursions with knowledgeable and properly trained staff to assist our field expert during our busy season.

Solution:  The business goal is to train new employees who have been hired to assist our field expert on mushroom foraging learning expeditions around Turkey Tail Farms. By gaining proper training, our employees will have a better understanding of the local mushroom habitat and local mushroom identification and will be able to better assist our customers resulting in successful foraging experiences for our customers.

Highlights: This course includes scenarios, interactions including drag and drop, click to reveal, matching and markers and knowledge checks with a final quiz. â€‹
